Scholarship

• Korean Language Proficiency Test Level 5 or above: 100% off of tuition
• Korean Language Proficiency Test Level 4 or above: 80% off of tuition
• Korean Language Proficiency Test Level 3 or above, English Proficiency Test (TOEFL 550,CBT 210, iBT 80, IELTS 5.5, TEPS 550 or higher): 20% off of tuition

• TOPIK Level 4 or higher: 100% off of tuition
• English: TOEFL 550, CBT 210, iBT 80 or lELTS 5.5 or TEPS 550 or any nationally recognized English Ability Test result equivalent: 40% off of tuition
• Korean Government Scholarship Students, Foreign Government Scholarship Students and students who apply for Fine Arts, Music, Physical Education, Natural Science, and Engineering majors: 40% off of tuition
• Applicants with a letter of recommendation issued by a GWNU professor in the department that they will belong to: 40% off of tuition

GPA 3.5 or higher: 50% maximum off of tuition. (It depends on each department.)

• Purpose: To raise awareness of the benefits of studying in Korea and to motivate financially self-supporting foreign students by subsidizing outstanding students.
• Support Period: 10 months.
• Scope of Support: KRW 500,000 a month
• Application Procedure: Online application on www.studyinkorea.go.kr → Print application form → Submit application form to GWNU

• Students who go to one of our sister universities below in ODA countries and obtain TOPIK Level 3
  ※Danang University in Vietnam, Gadjah Mada University in Indonesia, Life University in Cambodia
• International Marriage Migrants
  • Application Period: Every March and September
  • Scope of Support: Above students → Tuition and dormitory fee for two years
  • Above migrants → Tuition for four years (newly admitted) and two years (transferred)

• Students who obtain a three-year college degree or finished four semesters and acquired 68 credits, and who hold TOPIK Level 3.
• Migrants who do not naturalize until they graduate, and who hold TOPIK Level 3 or a certificate of Social Integration Program Level 4.
